A consortium of 15 partners coordinated by ACTeon, will work on ResponSEAble. The strengths of our Consortium are the combination of expertise and skills, the capacity to cover all components of the ocean knowledge system, from the production of knowledge to its final use experience in a wide range of communication and literacy products and initiatives.

Our team coverage of the main regional seas relevant to the EU (the Black Sea, the Mediterranean Sea, the North Sea, the Baltic Sea and the Atlantic façade) Its transatlantic dimension an excellent access to the main regional, European and international Networks on Marine knowledge.

Universidade Lusófona

COFAC is the organisation legally responsible for the maintenance of Universidade Lusófona de Humanidades e Tecnologias (ULHT). ULHT is the largest private University in Portugal. With over 11,000 students, including those on international exchange programmes, and a teaching and research staff of more than 1,000, Universidade Lusófona offers a stimulating and versatile academic environment. COFAC will largely contribute to WP3. It will also be involved in WP1, WP2, WP4, WP5 and WP6 and WP7.

Sérgio Guerreiro

Sérgio Guerreiro

Sérgio Guerreiro is an Assistant Professor at Lusófona University, Portugal; and a research member of CICANT R&D unit. Holds a Ph.D. in Information Systems and Computer Engineering. Research interests are Ontologies and Enterprise Architecture; specialized in control systems that deliver information to the persons involved in the decision-making processes. In ResponSEAble is involved in conceptualization and technological implementation.

WP3, media classification system; WP6, coordination.
Main specialization: audience and user studies, transmedia storytelling, multiplatform content development.

Gonçalo Calado

Gonçalo Calado

Gonçalo Calado is Associate Professor at Lusófona University, in Lisbon. He teaches Ecology and Marine Biology. He’s enrolled with several research projects, from the inventory of biodiversity to the proposal of classification of off-shore marine protected areas. He had a PhD degree in Biology, obtained at the University of Santiago de Compostela, Spain. On ResponSEAble Gonçalo deals with the contributions of marine biology to the Ocean Literacy.
